New IT Rules 2021: New IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has made the first post on the indigenous social media app Ku. In this, he wrote that the new IT rules will make social media safe for users. He wrote that the new guidelines are empowering and protecting users and will ensure a secure social media ecosystem in India.
In his post on Ku App, he wrote, “Reviewed the implementation and compliance of Information Technology Rules, 2021 with my colleague Rajeev Chandrasekhar. These guidelines are empowering and protecting users and will ensure a safe and responsible social media ecosystem in India.”

Let us inform that Ashwini Vaishnav has replaced Ravi Shankar Prasad, senior BJP leader in the Ministry of Electronics and IT and Ministry of Communications. He took over the charge of the ministry on 8 July.
Earlier, the new IT Minister had said that those living and working in India will have to comply with the rules of the country. Responding to a question about microblogging platform Twitter not complying with IT norms, he had said that anyone who lives and works in India will have to comply with the country’s rules.
Twitter bowed before the rules
Twitter has appointed Vinay Prakash as India’s Resident Grievance Officer for India amid tensions with the government. A few days back, the company had appointed a Chief Compliance Officer. Apart from this, Twitter has also published the first India Transparency Report under the new IT rules. This information has been placed on the website of the company. Twitter has been in constant controversy for failing to comply with the new Information Technology (IT) rules in India.
