New Delhi: The problem of the people of Delhi, troubled by the scarcity of water in the scorching heat, is now caught in the turn of politics. On one hand BJP is blaming the Delhi government of Aam Aadmi Party for not being able to supply water and on the other hand, Aam Aadmi Party is blaming BJP for stopping the water coming from Haryana to Delhi. In this sequence, today the youth wing of Aam Aadmi Party protested outside the house of BJP President Adesh Gupta. Youth wing in-charge Rohit Lakra, state president Ramesh Matiala and MLA Rajkumar Anand also participated in the protest.
Aam Aadmi Party leader and MCD in-charge Durgesh Pathak issued a statement saying that we had given BJP 24 hours to solve the water problem but BJP has not taken any step yet. The BJP-ruled Haryana government is not giving about 100 MGD of water to the people of Delhi. Due to this, there has been a shortage of water inside Delhi for a few days, but the people of BJP have no time to do politics.
Durgesh Pathak said that yesterday we had said that if Delhi BJP President Adesh Gupta does not solve this problem, then his water connection will be cut but BJP has not taken any step yet. The people of BJP have deliberately stopped water from coming to Delhi for their political gains. Against this attitude of BJP, Aam Aadmi Party today protested at the house of Delhi BJP President Adesh Gupta. About 900 MGD of water is consumed daily in Delhi. Out of this, if 100 MGD of water does not come, then about 10 percent water gets reduced. According to the population of two crore, the water of 20 lakh people has been stopped by the Haryana government of BJP.
