Jaipur: Rajasthan received death from the sky on Sunday. Twenty people died due to lightning in Rajasthan on Sunday. Eleven people lost their lives when lightning struck the watch tower of Jaipur’s Amer Mahal. Apart from twelve people in Jaipur, 4 in Kota, 3 in Dholpur have died. CM Gehlot has announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakh each for the families of those who died.
Most of the dead were young men on the watch tower of Amer Mahal who had gone to enjoy the pleasant weather on a hill near the fort. Some of them were taking selfies on the watch tower. While many were present on the hill. Late in the evening when the people present on the watch tower fell due to lightning.
Medical and Health Minister Dr. Raghusharma reached Sawai Mansingh (SMS) Hospital to take stock of the treatment of the injured in the accident due to lightning in Amer. Chief Whip Dr. Mahesh Joshi, MLA Amin Kaggi were also present. He gave necessary instructions for the treatment of the injured.
