Delhi Weather Update: After all, when will the monsoon rain in Delhi NCR? Will Delhiites have to wait for monsoon now? And after all, what is the reason that the Meteorological Department’s predictions about the monsoon are not accurate again and again.
First of all, know that this year, the month of May was the least hot in about 44 years, the reason for this was the rains in those days and the arrival of two big storms was told. After which this time the first reaction regarding monsoon was given by the Meteorological Department on June 11. When it was told by the Meteorological Department that this time the monsoon rains in Delhi will start about two weeks before its scheduled time i.e. on June 15.
From June 11 to June 15, more days went on, but there was no monsoon rain, but the heat, humidity and heatwave kept on increasing. The forecast of the Meteorological Department failed. After which the weather of Delhi has remained very hot since June 15. Also, the rising humidity is bothering the people a lot. After June 20, the Meteorological Department has given answers to the question about the knock of monsoon many times. In which Delhiites were asked to wait for sometime for the monsoon.
Record breaking heat in July
Normally monsoon arrives in Delhi around June 27. Therefore, it was imperative to wait some more for the monsoon. Meanwhile, the heat kept increasing, the humidity made people sweat and the temperature kept rising and finally June 27 came but the monsoon did not come. The rain kept waiting but did not change and neither did the rain, but on June 30, the temperature reached 44 degrees and on July 1, the temperature remained above 40 degrees, which broke the heat records in July.
There was a slight drop in the temperature of Delhi due to light rain on July 2 and thereafter. After which on July 6, the Meteorological Department once again predicted and predicted the arrival of monsoon by July 10 in the rain-craving parts including Delhi. But this estimate of the Indian Meteorological Department also did not fit and Delhi kept craving for rain. After this, the situation regarding monsoon is not clear yet. On this, the Meteorological Department did not give any date regarding the monsoon in Delhi this time, but it said that ‘monsoon is being monitored’.
Meteorological Department meteorologist Dr RK Jeenamani says, ‘Early monsoon was to arrive on June 15. After June 13, the target was 5 to 7 days but some conditions changed in such a way after which we refused that there would be no monsoon because westerly system came. In which wind came from the west and heatwave also came. It has rained in Northwest India on 11th July but it did not rain in Delhi. We are keeping him under monitoring right now. Monitoring is going on in cloud, radar and satellite.
Monsoon delayed for the second time in 19 years
After repeated mistakes, even meteorologists do not want to say anything openly about the monsoon in Delhi. According to the data, this time the monsoon will reach Delhi late for the second time in the last 19 years. Earlier in 2012, on 7 July, in 2006 on 9 July, the monsoon reached Delhi. In 2002, Delhi received monsoon rains for the first time on 19 July, and till now in 1987, the late monsoon came on 26 July.
The reason behind the monsoon not reaching parts of Delhi and Haryana was given that the monsoon turf has come down. East winds are blowing in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana and humidity has increased. Although the monsoon clouds have formed. Parts of Rajasthan and Haryana have also received rain but Delhi and adjoining areas are still yearning for monsoon rains.
