New Delhi: The party high command has not been able to find any solution to the quarrel between Captain and Sidhu in Punjab Congress. Meanwhile, a Congress MLA has opened a front against the Finance Minister in the Captain Government. Punjab Congress youth MLA Amarinder Singh Raja alias Raja Brar has accused Finance Minister Manpreet Badal of colluding with the Akali Dal and demanded Rahul Gandhi to take disciplinary action against Manpreet.
Attacking Manpreet Badal through Twitter, Raja Brar has released four pictures. In which the same person is seen with Manpreet Badal, Parkash Singh Badal, Sukhbir Badal and Vikram Singh Majithia. Raja Brar tweeted, ‘The Finance Minister of Punjab is busy distributing people’s money to the Akalis who are destroying Punjab. This plan to weaken the Congress and strengthen the Akali Dal is being run by Manpreet Badal for months. Rahul Gandhi ji is requested to take his resignation immediately after taking disciplinary action.

Manpreet Badal’s reaction on Raja Brar’s allegations is awaited. But it has become clear from this new uproar that before the elections, the leaders of Punjab Congress are engaged in settling each other. Actually, in the Captain government, Finance Minister Manpreet Badal is the nephew of Parkash Singh Badal. After differences in the Akali Dal, he formed the Punjab People’s Party. Manpreet merged his party with the Congress after the PPP’s poor performance in the 2012 assembly elections.
In 2017, Captain Amarinder Singh made him the Finance Minister. Manpreet Badal’s identity is that of a low-profile leader and a good orator. At the same time, MLA Raja Brar has been the National President of Youth Congress. He is counted among the flamboyant youth leaders of Punjab Congress. The political constituencies of Manpreet Badal, MLA from Bathinda and Raja Brar, MLA from Giddarbaha in Muktsar district, are side by side. Because of this, both look like political rivals.
