Parliament Monsoon Session: The monsoon session of Parliament is going to start from July 19. Meanwhile, the United Kisan Morcha (SKM) has prepared a strategy to corner the government on the new agricultural laws. The SKM said in its statement that the organization will send a warning letter to the opposition parties by July 17 to raise their voice in Parliament for the farmers. Every day by the end of the monsoon session, 5 members of each farmer organization, totaling at least 200 farmers, will protest outside the Parliament.
Let us tell you that even before this, the United Kisan Morcha had said this in one of its statements. The Morcha had told that the farmers are making detailed plans to hold daily demonstrations there during the monsoon session of Parliament. The Morcha had said in a statement, “We want the opposition parties to ensure that the farmers’ agitation and their demands become the main issue of discussion during the Parliament session and that there is pressure on the government to accept those demands.”

The apex body of more than 40 farmers’ unions of the country had announced on July 4 that during the monsoon session of Parliament starting from July 19, around 200 farmers would protest outside the Parliament House daily against the Centre’s agricultural laws.
The United Kisan Morcha had earlier said that it would write a letter to the opposition parties requesting them to ensure that the farmers are heard. The Morcha had said, “We want the opposition parties to ensure that the farmers’ movement and their demands become the main issue of discussion and there is pressure on the government to accept the demands. We don’t want the opposition to create ruckus or walk out of the house, we want them to participate in the proceedings of Parliament in a constructive manner when farmers are protesting outside.”
