Bhopal: In different parts of Madhya Pradesh, the sky disaster has wreaked havoc on the people. 12 people have died in different incidents of lightning. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has expressed grief over the death of 12 people due to lightning. He has prayed to God to give peace to the souls of the deceased and patience to their families.

He has said that the mind is saddened by the news of the untimely death of 12 people in different parts of the state. Significantly, in the last 24 hours, different incidents of lightning occurred in Madhya Pradesh amid reports of many deaths due to lightning in many states of North India.

The Indian Meteorological Department had issued a lightning warning in Bhopal, Gwalior, Hoshangabad, Ujjain and Indore. Many people lost their lives due to lightning and thunder in Sheorajpur, Gwalior, Shivpuri, Betul of Madhya Pradesh. In Sheopur district, two people died due to the sky disaster, two other deaths were recorded in Gwalior district due to lightning. After the incident, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also expressed grief and announced that the state government would provide assistance to all possible victims. In a tweet issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, it was said, “The Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund announced a compensation of two lakhs to the kin of the deceased and 50 thousand to the injured.”
People lost their lives due to calamity from the sky
On Sunday evening, lightning struck three people, including a father and son, sitting under a tree in Tapriyan village of Sheopur district. All three were admitted to the health center in critical condition, where Hari Om Yadav (65) and his son Kuber Yadav (30) died during treatment. At the same time, Shivam Raja (17), who had gone to graze goats in village Barodi of Shivpuri district, lost his life on the spot due to lightning. Apart from this, Amritlal Chaudhary (35) working in the field also died due to lightning in Balbahra village of Shahdol district.
