New Delhi: The history of the city of Kolkata is so old and as beautiful as it is hardly any other city. From Mughal to British, from movement to culture. From Tram to Yellow Taxi, Howrah Bridge to Writer’s Building. But now a restaurant has opened that has made the theme of its history and yellow taxi.
The city has come up with an exciting restaurant theme. You must have seen Kolkata in many ways, but the cafe has shown it in a new way. It has tons of exciting elements to offer and will surely amaze you with its kinetic chandelier.
Jhoomar is inspired by Kolkata’s oldest but most popular public transport non AC yellow taxi. The innovation was not limited to this, something new has been introduced in the chairs too. The restaurant chairs are inspired by musical instruments. This innovative cafe is the idea of none other than the most famous ‘Fake Cafe’, which is gearing up for its first outlet in Kolkata.
Zoravar Kalra’s Fergie Cafe is located in Golden Park, with modern Indian beds spread over 4,500 sq ft space, neatly divided into three sections.
Farzi Cafe Kolkata Franchisee owner Amit Goel told us, “We have incorporated all the elements of Calcutta into Fake Cafe. Be it the kinetic energy of the yellow cab in the chandelier, or the fan. If you see face mask in chairs, books, musical elements like trumpet. Fake Café shows the whole of Calcutta and you see every part of it. All the culture and old parts of Calcutta are like independent photographs and typewriters. It just shows how we’ve incorporated them into the present day”
Like their other outlets in India, they will continue to innovate and showcase different aspects of cuisine from the vastness of the country. It also promises to stay true to the fuzzy concept to offer every visitor a cutting-edge and innovative dining experience.
Farzi Cafe Kolkata will charm you with their interiors, a palate and soul-satisfying food menu, casual cocktails, helpful staff and an infectious vibe.
Some are double decker buses in pictures, some have iconic trams, Eden Gardens, Howrah Bridge etc. From old school writer to typewriter. Flowers are another way of showing beauty. There is a big market of flowers in Bengal and it is not easy to reach those places. For a Calcutta, the modern touch of Bengal is truly heartwarming.
From the entrance to the second entry point, one impresses you with the amount of greenery of the place which is extremely pleasing to the eyes. There are floor to ceiling windows that let in lots of natural light which adds to the lively feel of the place.
Kolkata is such a place where you will get food according to your taste and through it, if you get a glimpse of the city, there is nothing left to say.
Zoravar Kalra, MD and founder of Massive Restaurants, which has brands like Pa Pa Ya, Bo Tai and Swan, called the city more of a gourmet capital than a food capital. The menu at this restaurant is customized to local tastes.
