New Delhi: Lav Agarwal, Joint Secretary, Union Health Ministry said that people are taking the third wave of Corona as a weather update. People are not understanding its seriousness and the responsibilities associated with it. The government emphasized that many parts of the country are witnessing blatant violations of COVID-appropriate behavior which may sabotage the efforts so far to contain it.
Lav Aggarwal said, “Want to request everyone that when we talk about third wave of corona, we are taking it as weather update and not understanding its seriousness and our responsibilities related to it. Huh.”

At the same time, Dr VK Paul, member of NITI Aayog, said that the world is facing the third wave of Corona today. We have to work together to stop this in India. He said that the Prime Minister has made it clear today that instead of discussing when the third wave will come, we should focus on how to keep it aside.
Along with this, Luv Aggarwal said that central teams have been deployed in 10 states including Assam, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh and Manipur to support in Kovid-19 management. For the week ending July 13 in 55 districts of India, the rate of Kovid-19 infection was recorded at more than 10 percent. In July, about 73.4 percent new cases of Kovid-19 were reported from Kerala, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha so far. He informed that so far 30.66 crore people have been given the first dose of Kovid vaccine and 7.49 crore people have been given the second dose.
The Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Health said that under the new package of Kovid, about 20 thousand new ICU beds will be prepared. Out of this, 20 percent beds will be pediatric beds. A pediatric unit will also be set up in each district. Under this package, more than 8800 ambulances will be arranged separately.
