The fear of the third wave of Corona coming in August-September is being expressed. Because of this, all attention is being given to vaccination so that the effect of corona can be reduced. The Indian government plans to vaccinate all adults by the end of the year. So far 39 crore people have been given vaccine doses. However, concerns are being raised about the pace of vaccination because according to experts, India is far behind in vaccinating 60 percent of the population.
It is being said from the experts that 80 to 90 lakh people need to be vaccinated daily in India, whereas on an average, 39 lakh people have been given vaccine doses in the last seven days.
The slow pace of the vaccine raised concerns
According to the data of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, out of the 11 crore people aged 18-4 years who have been vaccinated, only 38 lakh have taken both doses of the vaccine. During the last 2 weeks, West Bengal including Delhi, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu gave an alert of running out of vaccine stock. However, the Center is confident that the supply of vaccine will be increased in the coming months.
After many people expressed concern about not being able to get the vaccine to them or their family members, the local circles conducted a survey and tried to understand the problem of vaccination during the last 30 days. In the survey, their responses were taken from 8931 people and this survey was done in 278 districts of India. In this, 66 percent of the participants were men and 34 percent were women.
65 percent said – they or relatives could not get the vaccine in the last 30 days
During the survey, when it was asked that when he or any member of his family or any relative went to get the vaccine during the last 30 days, did the vaccine run out there? In response to this, 20 percent said that this happened to four-five people associated with them. 26 percent said that this happened to 2-3 people associated with them. 19 percent said that this happened to someone. Only 21 per cent said that this did not happen to any of their family or relatives. So at the same time 14 percent said that they cannot say anything about this. On an average, 65 percent of the citizens or any of their family or relatives could not get the vaccine dose despite visiting the vaccine center during the last 30 days.
