New Delhi: While addressing the country on World Youth Skills Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has talked about giving a new impetus to the Skill India Mission. He said, “Skill development of the new generation of youth is a national need. Self-reliant India has a huge base. By adding full strength to the foundation that was created in the last 6 years, the new institutions that have been built, we need to renew the Skill India mission. Have to speed up.”
PM Modi said, “Our ancestors gave importance to skills as well as made them a part of the gaiety of the society. We worship weapons on Vijayadashami, farmers worship agricultural machines on Akshaya Tritiya. Worship of Lord Vishwakarma. It has been a big festival for the people associated with every craft. Today it is important that learning does not stop with your earning. Today there is so much demand for skills in the world that only those who are skilled will move forward.
PM Modi further said, “If education gives us information about what we have to do, then skill teaches us how that work will be done in real form. Skill India mission is to match this truth step by step with this need.” There is a program. This thing applies to individuals and also applies to the country. Babasaheb Ambedkar had given a lot on the skilling of the youth, the weaker section. Today, through Skill India, the country is to fulfill this visionary dream of Babasaheb. Trying hard.”
