Congress MP Rahul Gandhi arrived to take part in this meeting. During this, he sought permission to discuss the border dispute between India and China. Sources said that after the discussion was not allowed, Rahul Gandhi walked out of the Parliamentary Committee meeting.
Sources said that the meeting was fixed at around 3 pm on Wednesday. In this meeting, many Congress MPs including Rahul Gandhi who are members of this committee had reached there. Congress MPs talked about discussing the border dispute with China, which was rejected. After which all the Congress MPs including Rahul Gandhi walked out of the Defense Committee meeting.
Regarding the meeting, the source said, “The issue of discussing the works of Cantonment Boards was included in the agenda of the meeting. During the meeting, Rahul Gandhi said that this issue is being discussed continuously for the last few meetings. Talk on this issue, but what China is doing on the border, China is increasing its influence in Sri Lanka. In such a situation, these issues should also be discussed.
