West Bengal: The bodies of nine fishermen were found this morning inside a fishing trawler that capsized on Wednesday morning due to high waves in the Bay of Bengal. All these fishermen were residents of 24 Parganas district. Officials said that another person present in the ship could not be traced and a search was on for him. The ship had left the Namkhana area five days ago and was carrying 12 fishermen. According to officials, Shankar Sashmal Manjhi and Saikat Das, both these fishermen were present on the deck at that time and were operating the ship. During the incident, both of them jumped into the sea and were rescued by another fisherman’s boat.
