Coronavirus vaccination Drive: According to the Union Health Ministry, till July 15, the central government has given more than 40 crore vaccine doses to the states and union territories. Out of which 38 crore 39 lakh vaccine doses have been administered to the people, while more than 1 crore 92 lakh vaccine doses are available with the states.
According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry, the central government has given 40,31,74,380 vaccine doses so far, out of which 38,39,02,614 vaccine doses have been used, including medical wastage. States currently have 1,92,71,766 vaccine doses available, while 83,85,790 vaccine doses are in the pipeline.
So far 39,13,40,491 vaccine doses have been given under corona vaccination in the country, out of which 31,35,29,502 people have been given the first dose, while 7,78,10,989 people have been given both doses.
According to the Union Health Ministry, out of 39,13,40,491 doses given so far
– The first dose has been given to 1,02,59,902 healthcare workers and the second dose to 74,67,814 healthcare workers.
– 1,77,49,670 frontline workers have been given the first dose and 1,01,08,761 second dose.
11,80,17,979 people aged 18 to 44 years have received the first dose and 42,03,947 people have received the second dose.
9,60,12,486 people in the age group of 45 to 59 years have been given the first and 2,62,71,510 people have been given the second dose of corona vaccine.
Apart from this, 7,14,89,465 people above 60 years of age have been given the first and 2,97,58,957 second doses.
The nationwide vaccination campaign was started on 16 January and the vaccination of frontline workers started on 2 February. The next phase of corona vaccination started from March 1, in which people above 60 years of age along with people above 45 years of age who have serious illness started. At the same time, vaccination of every person above 45 years of age was started from 1st April and vaccination of people between 18 to 44 years started from 1st May.
