Monsoon Session: The monsoon session of Parliament is going to start from July 19. During this it is believed that 15 bills can be introduced by the government. This may also include the DNA Technology Bill. The government is likely to bring 15 other bills, including the DNA Technology Bill, Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens, Assisted Reproductive Technology Bill, Tribunal Reform Bill and Factoring Regulation Amendment Bill, in the upcoming monsoon session of Parliament.

Meanwhile, newly-appointed Leader of the House in the Rajya Sabha Piyush Goyal met former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Congress leader Anand Sharma and Nationalist Congress Party leader Sharad Pawar, among other opposition leaders, ahead of the monsoon session starting July 19. Goel’s meetings with senior opposition leaders ahead of the Parliament session are being seen as an attempt by the government to seek cooperation from opposition parties.
In fact, Goyal was appointed the Leader of the House in the Rajya Sabha recently. He replaced Thaawarchand Gehlot. Gehlot was recently appointed as the Governor of Karnataka. At the same time, the monsoon session will start on Monday and it is scheduled to run till August 13. In this session, the government is preparing to bring a new bill. Among these, there are three bills that the government has brought in place of the ordinance.
