New Delhi: The ICMR has done a study regarding breakthrough infection during the second wave of corona virus. This study of ICMR revealed that after the vaccine, the chances of hospitalization and death are reduced to a great extent. According to the information, ICMR has studied the data of a total of 677 people. In which 592 (Covidshield 527 + Covaccine 63) people took both doses of the vaccine.
85 of these (Coveshield: 77 + Covaccine: 8) took one dose. This data has been collected from 17 states and union territories. In these samples, 86.69 percent i.e. 443 people were infected due to Delta, Alpha, Kappa, Delta AY.1 and Delta AY.2.
384 people got infected because of Delta. It was told that most people have been infected in the second wave due to the delta variant. In this, 9.8% people needed hospitalization, while 0.4% i.e. 3 people died for both doses.
