New Delhi: 19 people who fell inside while trying to rescue a boy from a well in Ganjbasoda area of Vidisha district of Madhya Pradesh were rescued and bodies of 11 people recovered. News agency PTI quoted State Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang as saying that the boy’s body was the last to be pulled out of the well. The district in-charge minister Sarang said that the rescue operation is over.
This is how the accident happened
According to the police, a 10-year-old boy had fallen from the well in Lal Patar village of the area. After this, some people descended into the well to save him, while many people gathered on the well’s spire to help them and see the matter. After this, the mount of the well suddenly collapsed and the people standing on it fell into the water of the well. The well was about 40 feet deep. The tractor being used to extract water also fell into the well.
