New Delhi: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday. No official information was given about what happened in this meeting that lasted for about an hour between the two leaders, but sources say that they discussed the latest political issues. On this meeting, Shiv Sena says that Sharad Pawar can become a contender for the post of President.
Shiv Sena sources have said that the NCP chief can make a claim for the post of President. This meeting with PM Modi can be done in terms of future strategy, but by doing so Sharad Pawar will lose his power in Maharashtra. BJP will clear them, only BJP and Shiv Sena staying together can further flood Maharashtra. Because both are Hindutva outfits while the NCP chief also knows that BJP cannot be his natural partner.
Everything fine in Mahavikas Aghadi government?
On the Sharad Pawar-PM Modi meeting, Shiv Sena sources have clearly said that everything is going well in the Maha Vikas Aghadi government. The exemption given to the ministers of NCP in this government has not been given in any government.
Earlier, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh met Sharad Pawar and AK Antony on Friday. Chief of Defense Staff General Bipin Rawat and Army Chief General MM Naravane were also present in this meeting. These meetings are also important because the monsoon session of Parliament is starting from July 19. Rajnath Singh is also the Deputy Leader of the House in the Lok Sabha.
