New Delhi: India’s real vaccination test is yet to come. The demand for Corona’s vaccine will mainly start from the next week of July. People in the age group of 18 to 44 who have received the Kovishield vaccine in May will now start taking the second dose next week. At the same time, those who have taken Covaccine after 21 June will also be eligible to take all the second doses.
In such a situation, one crore doses will be required every day from the week starting 21 July. This surge in demand is coming at a time when there is already a shortage of vaccine in some states. According to the Central Government’s Co-Vin Dashboard, 235.7 million out of the total 315 million people vaccinated in India have received their first dose of vaccine as of Friday evening. While another 79.3 million people have been fully vaccinated.
The government estimates that the number could be as high as 10 million doses in the week starting July 21. At present, the expected jump in demand has come at a time when the cold war between the state and the Center over the supply of supplements has stopped. On Wednesday, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said that in July, the availability of the vaccine will be 135 million doses.

Out of which 31 crore 86 lakh 65 thousand 226 people have been given the first dose of corona vaccine and 8 crore 10 lakh 30 thousand653 people have been given the second dose. Talking about Friday, 42 lakh 12 thousand 557 doses have been given during the last 24 hours. In which 24 lakh 46 thousand 76 people have been given the first dose and 17 lakh 66 thousand 481 second corona vaccine.
