New Delhi: To prevent the third wave of Corona, some states of the Northeast have announced to impose lockdown. The rising corona cases in the northeastern states have worried the central government along with the state governments. According to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, about 80 percent of the cases of corona are being seen from 90 districts and 14 of them are from the North East. Of the 73 districts of the country in which the positivity rate is more than 10 percent, 46 districts were from the northeastern states.
A 7-day complete lockdown has been imposed from today in Aizawl, the capital of Mizoram, so that the situation does not worsen in the cases of Corona. The cases of infection in Mizoram were 55 on an average in April, while it increased to 202 in May and reached 381 in the first week of July.
Restrictions were relaxed in Mizoram two weeks ago, after which there was a sudden increase in corona cases. Like Mizoram, Kovid curfew has been imposed in Manipur for 10 days from today. Curfew has been imposed in the entire state from today till July 27 with relaxation in some essential services. To save the states of the Northeast from the third wave of corona infection, vigilance from now on will bring relief news in the coming days. Along with this, it will prove to be helpful in stopping the increasing cases of corona in time.
