New Delhi: The throne of Punjab has been given to the ‘guru’ of politics i.e. Navjot Singh Sidhu. Ignoring the objections of the Captain, the Congress high command has appointed Sidhu as the new state president. Sidhu’s success was celebrated in many cities of Punjab by supporters outside his house in Patiala, while in Amritsar too, supporters raised slogans in Sidhu’s name and expressed happiness by doing Bhangra.
As soon as the official announcement was made, Sidhu first went to Patiala’s Grief Nivaran Gurudwara and bowed his head… after that he visited the Kali Mata temple and also made his presence by visiting the mosque. The attempt was to convey that as president, he would take the workers along with the same equanimity.
