PSL 2021: The final match of the sixth season of Pakistan Super League will be played between Multan Sultans and Peshawar Zalmi. In the second qualifier match played on Tuesday, Peshawar Zalmi continued his impressive performance by defeating Islamabad United by eight wickets. Afghanistan openers Hazratullah Zazai and Jonathan Wells were in hero form for Multan Sultans’ victory.
Islamabad had set a target of 175 runs in 20 overs in front of Peshawar. The left-handed batsman Jajai got life on the score of seven, taking full advantage of which he scored 66 runs in 44 balls. While playing the PSL for the first time, Wales scored an unbeaten 55. Peshawar achieved the target of 175 runs with three overs remaining for the loss of two wickets.
Islamabad’s bad start
Islamabad had a very poor start in the qualifier match. Khawaja, who was in good form, returned to the pavilion after scoring just one run. Hasan Ali, however, batted brilliantly. Hasan Ali scored 45 runs in just 16 balls with the help of five fours and three sixes. Islamabad reached the score of 174 in 20 overs due to Hasan Ali’s innings.
