India vs New Zealand WTC Final 2021: The final match of the ongoing World Test Championship (WTC Final) between India and New Zealand has moved towards a draw. Today is the sixth and last day of this rain-interrupted Test. Team India will play its second innings on the last day of the match, currently it has two wickets for 64 runs. After this New Zealand also have to play their last innings. However, looking at the pitch, it is believed that the result of this match can be out on the last day. Former Indian captain Sunil Gavaskar has also expressed hope for the match to be exciting.
Sunil Gavaskar says he is looking forward to an exciting end to the World Test Championship final but it will be difficult for the Indian bowlers to wrap up the New Zealand team soon. Due to incessant rain and bad light, the match was pulled till the reserve day and till the end of the fifth day’s play, India scored 64 runs for two wickets and they have a lead of 32 runs so far.
Gavaskar said in a conversation with a news channel, “India will try to run free and maybe wrap New Zealand in the fourth innings. India had a chance to win, but the pitch has become better now. Because the weather has turned different Now the surface has dried up.”
The former Indian captain further said, “If there is a little grass in the pitch, then it will not be as much pressure as it was before. This means it will be easier to bat here. India may not get New Zealand out in the second innings. Indian bowlers will have to bowl well to stack the Kiwi team.
