Anecdote of Cricket: There is hardly any fan of cricket who does not like watching the greatest batsmen like Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar play. Everyone was crazy about Sehwag’s explosive innings. As long as he remained at the crease, the bowlers of the opposition team used to hold their breath. There is hardly any batsman in the world of cricket who has played cricket as fearlessly as Sehwag.
There was a time when everyone used to inspire Sehwag to hit sixes. In the stand, other players of Team India would wait for when Sehwag would hit another six. But there was also a player who refused to hit Sehwag for a sixer. Not only this, the player even told Sehwag that if he hit another six, he would beat him with the bat.
Let us tell you that this thing was told to Sehwag by none other than Sachin Tendulkar, who is called the God of Cricket. This was disclosed by Sehwag himself during a Bengali show. Apart from Sehwag, VVS Laxman, Zaheer Khan, Harbhajan Singh and Ravichandran Ashwin were also present in this show.
In the show, Sourav Ganguly asked Sehwag how he scored a triple century in Multan. In response to this, he said- “When you are playing on 295, there is a lot of confidence. You know the wicket and the bowler.” After this Sehwag said, “I had hit six or seven sixes till the score of 120 runs, after which Sachin stopped.”
On this, Ganguly asks, “What does Sachin stop?” Sehwag explains. – started laughing out loud. However, Sehwag had also completed a triple century by hitting a six in Multan.
