WTC Final: After the crushing defeat at the hands of New Zealand in the final of the World Test Championship, questions are being raised on the performance of Team India. For a long time, the team has not been able to win the big ICC tournament. Meanwhile, New Zealand captain Kane Williamson has described India as a strong and great team. He said that the Black Caps are proud to have won the World Test Championship against a team led by Virat Kohli.
Williamson said in a conversation with a news channel that, “We are proud to have won the final match. India’s team is strong and has improved a lot year after year. This team is growing and I have no doubt that they will achieve a lot going forward. Williamson said that India also had good depth in their fast bowling department and their pace attack was relentless.
The Kiwi captain said, “Whenever you come against him, you feel the quality. They are tireless with the ball. His depth of seam bowling is probably the best in the world. Their spinners are unreliable and batting is not the answer. The whole team is world class.”
Williamson said this about Kohli
Kane Williamson has said that he enjoys a good friendship with Indian captain Virat Kohli. Kohli and Williamson first met in 2008 during the ICC Under-19 World Cup where India defeated New Zealand by three wickets in the semi-finals. Williamson said, “Kohli and I have known each other for a long time and are very good friends. So we also have some common interests.” Kohli had said after the Kiwi team’s victory, “Congratulations to Williamson and his entire team. He showed the consistency to win this title and put pressure on us. He deserved the win.”
