IND Vs ENG Women: The second match of the three-match series between the Indian women’s cricket team and England will be played today. India has a challenge to save the series in this match. India had to face a crushing defeat by eight wickets in the first match. Actually, due to the disappointing performance of the batsmen, India could not manage to score a big score.
India’s Smriti Mandhana and young player Shafali Verma failed to get the team off to a good start. However, captain Mithali Raj had scored 72 runs, with the help of which the team was successful in crossing the score of 200. England did not take much effort to achieve this target and they won this match by eight wickets.
The Indian team needs to rethink its bowling strategy. If the new bowlers failed to give the team initial success, the spin pair proved to be very expensive. In batting also, India will be expected to score runs a little faster from Mithali. Apart from this, India will also expect experienced player Harmanpreet Kaur to regain form.
England is in excellent form
On the other hand, England’s team is looking very balanced. They have fast bowlers like Katherine Brunt and Anya Shrubsole while left arm spinner Sophie Ecclestone has also been seen to be very effective. Indian bowlers also need to be careful with England’s batting. Tammy Beaumont (87 not out) and Natalie Sciver (74 not out) scored fifties and proved to be quite dangerous.
The two teams are as follows:
England: Heather Knight (capt), Farran Wilson, Sophia Dunkley, Katherine Brunt, Natalie Sciver, Maddie Villiers, Tammy Beaumont, Amy Allen Jones, Lauren Winfield, Emily Erlot, Kat Cross, Freya Davies, Safiya Ecclestone, Natasha Farrant, Sarah Glenn and Anya Shrubsole.
India: Mithali Raj (Captain), Smriti Mandhana, Harmanpreet Kaur, Poonam Raut, Priya Punia, Deepti Sharma, Jemima Rodrigues, Shafali Verma, Sneh Rana, Tania Bhatia, Indrani Roy, Jhulan Goswami, Shikha Pandey, Pooja Vastrakar, Arun Dhati Reddy , Poonam Yadav, Ekta Bisht and Radha Yadav.
Bidding for two new teams in IPL will be held in July, the price can be shocking
