IND Vs ENG Women: Indian women’s cricket team and England will face each other in the last match of the three-match ODI series today. England has already won the series by winning both the matches. However, India have a chance to save their honor and avoid a clean sweep by winning the third ODI. It is a matter of relief for India that captain Mithali Raj, who is in excellent form, is fit before the third ODI. But India will be expecting a bigger innings from its vice-captain Harmanpreet Kaur.
Indian bowlers have improved a lot in the series being played against England. But again the team had to face defeat due to poor batting. With wickets falling at frequent intervals, the burden is increasing on the captain Mithali, which is affecting her game too.
Harmanpreet’s poor form added to the trouble
Apart from Mithali and Jemima Rodrigues, Poonam Raut, Deepti Sharma and Tania Bhatia do not have the ability to play big shots. For this reason, there is a lot of pressure on openers Smriti Mandhana and 17-year-old Shefali Verma. However, in the second ODI, Shefali has tried to get the team off to a good start by scoring 44 runs off 55 balls. But no player is able to score runs fast in the middle overs.
Teams are as follows:
