Domestic Cricket: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) today announced the return of domestic cricket in India for the upcoming 2021-22 season. For a long time these tournaments could not be organized due to Corona epidemic. In such a situation, once again the players will return to the cricket field. The BCCI has released the complete schedule of the 2021-22 season for both men’s and women’s teams.
Domestic season will start from this date
BCCI has shared this schedule by tweeting. According to this, the domestic cricket season in India will start from 21 September 2021. This season will start with the Senior Women’s ODI League. After this, the Senior Women’s ODI Challenger Trophy will start from 27 October 2021. A total of 2127 home matches will be played in different age groups in men’s and women’s categories this season. The BCCI has expressed confidence of hosting the domestic season with the health and safety of the players.

Know about other major tournaments
The Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy will begin on 20 October 2021, with the final to be played on 12 November 2021. Apart from this, the Ranji Trophy was canceled last season due to the Corona epidemic. Now its event will be played from 16 November 2021 to 19 February 2022. The Vijay Hazare Trophy will be held from 23 February 2022 to 26 March 2022.
Due to Corona, tournaments of all sports including cricket were either canceled or postponed indefinitely last year. At present, there is a decrease in corona cases in the country. In such a situation, BCCI has released the schedule of domestic cricket.
