IND Vs SL: The three-match ODI series between India and Sri Lanka is going to start from July 13. For this tour, players who have performed well in the IPL for the last several years have been included in the Indian cricket team. Mumbai Indians star player Suryakumar Yadav has a chance to cement a place in Team India in the T20 World Cup by performing well in Sri Lanka. Suryakumar Yadav says that he is ready to face every challenge on the Sri Lanka tour.
Suryakumar Yadav made his debut for India in the T20 series against England played in March this year. Suryakumar Yadav said, “I think against England there was a different challenge. Whenever you come out to play for a batsman, you have to start from zero. This series is different, but the challenge is the same. I just want to perform in the same way. There is pressure, because there is no pressure and there is no fun. It is a good challenge and I am ready for it.
Suryakumar Yadav told his plan
Suryakumar Yadav considers the Sri Lanka tour as a good opportunity. Suryakumar, however, also accepted the responsibility of proving himself. The star batsman said, “We have played in such an environment. Such an environment is in Mumbai and Chennai where it is very hot. We came here 15-20 days before the tournament to get used to the atmosphere here.”
Suryakumar Yadav has also told his plan regarding batting in Sri Lanka. Suryakumar said, “I think I will do the same thing that I have done for the franchise in the IPL. Even in my debut series against England, I did not do anything differently. I enjoy my attacking role no matter what. Ask me to bat at the place. I will be like that. I will play here as I have been playing.”
Suryakumar can be seen batting at number three in the limited overs series against Sri Lanka. In IPL also Suryakumar plays at number three for Mumbai Indians.
