Wimbledon 2021 Winner: World number one Novak Djokovic won his 20th career Grand Slam title by defeating Matteo Berrettini of Italy in the final of Wimbledon 2021. Djokovic defeated Italy’s Berrettini 6-7(4), 6-4, 6-4, 6-3 in the final that lasted three hours and 23 minutes. This is his third consecutive title at Wimbledon.

World number one Novak Djokovic, despite going through some odd moments, defeated Matteo Berrettini on Sunday to become champion at the Wimbledon tennis tournament for the sixth time. Along with this, he also equaled the record of 20 Grand Slam titles.
With this win, Djokovic equaled Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal’s record of 20 Grand Slam titles. Berrettini made very simple mistakes in the beginning, taking advantage of which Djokovic broke his serve early. After this, when Djokovic was leading 5-2, Berrettini saved the set point.
The Italian player saved his serve in the next game amid the support of the spectators and then took the break point and extended the match towards the tiebreaker. Berrettini took a 3-0 lead early in the tiebreaker.
Djokovic, playing in his 30th Grand Slam final, leveled, but Berrettini soon got two set points. He made this set on the first set point by collecting ace, which lasted for one hour and 10 minutes.
Djokovic gave Berrettini a chance to come back in the second set as well. The Serbian once held a 4–0 lead, but failed to win the set on his serve at 5–2.
