New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has condoled the death of Yashpal Sharma, a former cricketer and a member of the 1983 World winning team. Describing him as an inspiration, the Prime Minister said that I am saddened by his death. Along with this, condolences have also been expressed to the family of Prime Minister Yashpal Sharma in this hour of mourning.
Prime Minister Modi tweeted, “Yashpal Sharma ji was a very dear member of the Indian cricket team including the great 1983 team. He was an inspiration to teammates, fans as well as budding cricketers. Saddened by his death. Condolences to his family and fans. Peace.”
Let us inform that Yashpal Sharma died of a heart attack this morning. Yashpal Sharma, 66, had also served as the selector of Team India. Former Indian team captains Kapil Dev and Dilip Vengsarkar have expressed deep grief over the death of Yashpal Sharma.

Former captain Kapil Dev condoled the death of Yashpal Sharma. Kapil Dev got emotional while talking to ABP News. On the death of Yashpal Sharma, he said, “We met only last week. He was in good nature. We cannot fight with the will of God. Looks very strange. After the news of his death, I am not able to handle myself.
