Indian Cricket Team’s Throwdown Specialist Corona Positive: Team India, led by Virat Kohli, is on a tour of England with its main players. The Indian team has to play a five-match Test series against England from August 4. But now the clouds of danger have started hovering over this series.
Actually, after Team India’s wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant, now Throwdown Specialist Dayanand Garani has been reported to be Corona positive. According to the information, the corona report of Dayanand Garani has come positive.
Wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant has been found corona positive on the current tour of England and he will not go to Durham with the Indian team. The Indian team will play a five-Test series against England from next month. The Cricket Board of India (BCCI) source has confirmed that Pant has been kept in isolation for the last eight days. According to the source, he is not showing symptoms at this time.
“He is in quarantine with an acquaintance and will not travel with the team to Durham on Thursday,” the source said. The source, however, did not specify when Pant would join the team. Pant is expected to undergo a Kovid-19 test in the next few days.
Apart from Pant and injured Shubman Gill, the rest of the Indian team left for Durham from London on Thursday. Gill suffered a leg injury earlier this month and the young batsman has come out of the biologically safe environment of the team. BCCI secretary Jay Shah had earlier sent an e-mail to the Indian team present in Britain, warning about the increasing cases of Kovid-19 there.
The players were given a break after the World Test Championship final against New Zealand last month. India had lost this match.
