Becomes second Indian batsman to score fastest 6000 runs
Shikhar Dhawan holds the record for completing 6000 runs in the 140th innings. He broke Sourav Ganguly’s record. Ganguly scored 6000 runs in 147 innings. Virat Kohli had completed 6000 runs in just 136 innings. Shikhar Dhawan is the second Indian batsman after Virat to score the fastest 6000 runs.
Dhawan becomes oldest captain
Shikhar Dhawan has become the oldest captain by making his captaincy debut against Sri Lanka. This unique record has been registered in his name. Dhawan is currently 35 years 225 days old. Earlier, Mohinder Amarnath was made captain at the age of 34 years and 37 days. He broke the 37-year-old record.
