Female Gymnast from United States has Tested Corona Positive: The threat of corona virus is increasing at the Olympic Games, which is going to start in Tokyo, Japan’s capital on July 23. The American gymnast who arrived in Tokyo to participate in the Olympic Games has been found to be Corona positive. However, the name of this female gymnast has not been revealed.
According to the information, an alternate member of the US women’s gymnastics team was found to be Corona positive during a practice camp in Japan. The US State Olympic and Paralympic Committee gave this information on Monday. However, the committee did not say whether Olympic champion Simone Biles or any other title contender is in quarantine after the positive case.
Due to the Corona epidemic, the cases of players and others being found positive in games being delayed by a year are increasing. This is the first player from America who has been found positive. Alternative players include Kara Iker and Lynn Wong.
The US committee said in a statement, “The safety of our players, coaches and staff is of paramount importance. We can confirm that an alternate member of the women’s artistic gymnastics team has tested positive. She has been quarantined. Her privacy is protected.” Out of respect, further details cannot be given at this time.”
Every possible step is being taken to save the sports village from the threat of corona virus. The chief of the organizing committee said, “We are taking all necessary steps to avoid the threat of corona virus. If a corona virus spreads, we will definitely have a plan to deal with it.
The Tokyo Olympics was postponed last year due to the Corona virus. But this year the Olympic Games are being organized with a very stringent Kovid 19 protocol. The Olympic Games will be held on the ground without spectators.
