But how will all this happen, let’s know about it.
COAI had placed the proposal
In fact, COAI i.e. Cellular Operators Association of India had put this proposal in front of the Telecom Department recently. The department had said in its note that the country’s three big private telecom companies Jio, Airtel and Vodafone-Idea had last year asked for an easy process to transfer connections from postpaid to prepaid.
You will be able to transfer postpaid to prepaid sitting at home like this
To transfer a postpaid number to a prepaid number, the number must be at least 90 days old.
For this, the user will first have to submit a request through the company’s website or app.
After this, a message will come to the user, in which the transaction ID and one time password will be given.
The validity of this OTP will be only 10 minutes.
After entering the OTP, the user will get the confirmation.
With the confirmation, the user will get the date of completion of the process.
Users can complete this process with the help of OTP as well as IVRS i.e. voice calling.
According to the Telecom Department, this process will be completed in half an hour.
