5 MHz from the 1800 MHz band and 10 MHz from the 2300 MHz band
Kochi: Bharti Airtel has deployed an additional 15 MHz spectrum in Kerala. The company said that this will give users a better network.
The company said in a press release that it has deployed five megahertz from the 1800 MHz band and 10 MHz from the 2300 MHz band along with new network tools to enhance the high speed data capacity of the network in Kerala.
The company claims that the new network deployment will provide better network coverage even within homes in urban areas of the state. Faster data service on national highways, railways and rural areas due to additional spectrum.
In a recent auction, Airtel had acquired 1800, 2300 and 900 MHz spectrum from the Central Government for Kerala. Airtel is fully equipped to provide high speed data service and 5G services across Kerala with a wide range of spectra such as 1800 FDD, 2100 FDD, 2300 TDD and 900 FDD.

Airtel sees network expansion benefiting users when work at home and online classes were essential during the Kovid era. The Airtel network covers 96.34 per cent of the state’s population.
