Social media Facebook has taken a new step to stop the spread of false news and facts. It works with Facebook’s Fact Checker system. From now on, Facebook will warn you if you like pages that spread untruths.
Even before users log in to such pages, they are notified that false information is being spread. After the warning you will be asked if you want to follow again. Penalties will also be increased for personal Facebook accounts that spread false information.

“We are adopting new ways to let users know that the content they are interacting with is wrong. We take strong action against pages, groups, and Instagram accounts that share false information. It has also decided to impose heavy fines on personal accounts associated with such acts, ”the company said in a statement.
The number of posts in the news feed of those who regularly share inaccurate posts will also decrease. The publicity scope for editing posts has already been reduced, Facebook officials said. Such posts will be the last in their news feed if misinformation is shared. This is to prevent it from spreading to more people.
