Everyone knows how important the Aadhar card has become in the country. Almost all government work is incomplete without it. There is no fee to be paid for getting a new Aadhar card. But if you do any kind of update in your Aadhaar, then you will have to pay money for it. If you change your name, date of birth or address in your Aadhaar, then you will have to pay Rs 50. On the other hand, if you want to get the biometric updated, then you will have to pay the same amount every time.
Do this work on asking for more money
If you ask for more than the fixed amount of updation in Aadhaar card at any Aadhaar center, then you can complain about it. If this happens, you can make a complaint in the 1947 Aadhar Contact Center. You can also register your complaint at [email protected]
Mobile number must be linked for updation
For this, click on Update Aadhaar Details (Online) on uidai.gov.in. You need to upload valid documents to correct your date of birth. To make these changes, the cardholder’s mobile number will have to be linked with Aadhaar.
Center will have to go for biometrics change
If you want to make changes in other details like biometrics – fingerprint, iris and photograph for your Aadhar card. Then you have to go to the Permanent Enrollment Center. Enrollment and mandatory biometric update is free for the age group of 5 to 15 years if you want to get a new Aadhaar.
