We all know that Aadhar card is one of our most important documents. Every citizen of the country must have a 12 digit unique ID number. Aadhar card is considered valid everywhere. You can also use Aadhar card for address proof. But sometimes the address in our Aadhaar is not correct. Due to change of house or some mistake, we are not able to use it. Change your address in Aadhar Card like this
To change your address in Aadhaar sitting at home, first go to the official website of UIDAI, uidai.gov.in.
Now select the option of MY Aadhaar.
Here you will see the column of Update Your Aadhaar. In this column you have to click on Update Demographics Data Online.
After doing this, UIDAI’s Self Service Update Portal (SSUP) ssup.uidai.gov.in will open in front of you.
Now here you have to click on the option of Proceed to Update Aadhaar.
Now you will be asked for Aadhar number and captcha code.
After this OTP will come on your registered mobile number. Enter OTP here and submit it.
After OTP, a new page will open in front of you where two options will be available.
Now here you have to click on Update Demographics Data.
Now select the option of address here.
After this, you have to submit the scanned copy of the valid documents and click on Proceed.
After doing this you will get the old address show. Here you have to upload valid documents along with some personal details below. You can also see it by previewing it.
After previewing, as soon as you submit the final, you will get the update request number i.e. URN. With the help of this URN, you can visit the UIDAI website and check the address in your Aadhaar.
